Entrec Ltd invest in new mobile scrap shear

Thursday August 29, 2019

As a well-established metal recycler based in Wrexham, North Wales, Entrec Ltd take a serious approach to their business in terms of growth, safety and productivity, while understanding the importance of investing in and maintaining their on-site recycling equipment to the highest standards.

Entrec Ltd offer a wide range of recycling services, from the secure processing and demolition of ferrous and non – ferrous metals, skip services and the recycling of waste cables and possess all the top accreditations needed to safely and sufficiently provide a quality recycling service.

One such recent investment for Entrec Ltd was a new VTN CI4000R mobile scrap shear, supplied and installed to the boom of their existing thirty six tonne Komatsu base machine by Warrington based hydraulic attachment specialists ECY Haulmark limited.

Utilising a mobile scrap shear in a metal recycling facility offers many benefits; With Entrec Manager Gavin Butler happy to sing the praises of their new four tonne scrap shear.

“We were at a stage where it became necessary to replace our older LaBounty MSD112 shear, although this had given us a great service, it was vital to find a suitable replacement so we chose the VTN CI4000R from ECY Haulmark. It’s a really strong, well made, quality piece of kit and have found it a great addition at our processing facility”

“Having a good quality mobile shear working on site offers us many benefits, it reduces oversize material in preparation for putting into our LeFort baler and reduces the need to burn, hence making savings on burning and labour costs. Also the environmental impacts of burning and costs of oxyacetylene gases are eliminated” he added “We know ECY Haulmark are very experienced in their field, I could not fault their sales team and installation team, we found them to be helpful, professional and exceptionally supportive throughout”

The CI series of scrap shears from VTN Europe can be fitted on excavators from 2 to 110 tonnes. Made from Hardox 400 guaranteeing safety and reliability even in the most heavy-duty applications, with a rotating assembly which allows the equipment to remain in the correct position.

Fitted as standard with speed valve that reduces cycle times, blades with trapezoidal profile that improve the cutting line, and an innovative adjuster kit on the jaws to adjust slacks with no need for manual intervention, the CI hydraulic shear is extremely versatile and suitable for the most specific applications including scrap metal recycling in processing facilities and on demolition sites.
